Meet the puppies of the Cloud 9 Animal Shelter: Caboodle, the big poodle; King Tut, the most divine of all mutts; Lollie the collie; and Boom-Boom the Basset hound.

When a shy yellow Lab named Marilyn is abandoned at the Cloud 9 Animal Shelter, she thinks her whole world has shattered. With the help of the other puppies, she soon discovers that things always work out and with each new day comes a new beginning.

But when a couple wants to adopt her, she is unsure if she should leave the shelter she now calls home.

Should Marilyn take a chance to discover a new beginning with a new family or should she stick to what she already knows? 

Marilyn misses her puppy friends from the animal shelter, but she is excited to start her life with her new owners.

The Martians are stuck in Marilyn’s backyard, and their attempts to repair their Martian Machine have failed. They are anxious to return back home and ask Marilyn if she can help them.

Marilyn knows what it means to want to go back home. She herself was sad when she was left at the puppy house to wait to find new owners. Marilyn does everything she can to get the Martians on their way.

Both the Martians and Marilyn learn that change is okay and sweet surprises can come when you try new things. What new things will Marilyn discover? Will Marilyn be able to get the Martians back home? And where exactly do the Martians consider home?

Marilyn and her brand new friend have fun setting up their own: Deux Sleuths Detective Agency. Set up to help locate some of their family’s missing items, Marilyn and her new partner have no idea that they will end up in the middle of a real mystery.

When things more than the family’s socks start to go to missing, Marilyn knows that in order to protect their family her and her new partner must figure out the mystery of the midnight thief. The pair of dogs with the help of the trio of neighboring dogs, Treasure, Trinket and Truffle, conduct an search Marilyn’s family’s property and discover an unexpected stow-away.

King Tut, the most divine of all mutts and Boom-Boom the big Basset hound are the last dogs at the Cloud 9 Animal Shelter waiting to be adopted. King Tut longs to settle in with a family for the long-term and dreams of the perfect family and a big, lofty feather bed. When the perfect family comes around King Tut is determined to leave with them and promises to be on his best behavior around their young son.

Taking his friend Boom-Boom with him, the two dogs set out on a new adventure with their new family.

But when King Tut guides the family’s young son, Mackey, into lots of unintentional trouble will the family still want to have King Tut around?
